I support the girls
International
Read MoreThe mission of I Support The Girls (ISTG) is to collect and distribute menstrual hygiene products and bras for women experiencing poverty or distress so they can stand with dignity. A woman should not have to choose between feeding herself and her personal health. While many charitable organizations are able to provide food, books and clothing, there is still a need in the provision of feminine hygiene products and undergarments for women especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the last two years, I Support the Girls Orange County and Riverside, run by Bhavi, Diya, and Shreya Shah, has collected and distributed over 80,000 feminine hygiene products and over 1000 bras for women and girls in need in our community.
WISEPlace
Orange County, CA
Read MoreFor more than 90 years, WISEPlace has served more than 8,100 women by providing safe transitional and emergency shelter, counseling and mental health services, case management and addiction recovery, and employment assistance to help rebuild their lives. Headquartered in Santa Ana, CA, WISEPlace is leading the local effort to end homelessness for unaccompanied women.
Originally established as the South Orange County YWCA, WISEPlace instills hope in women and provides a path to personal stability so they do not face adversity alone. Most recently, the organization announced a housing development partnership, with plans to completely renovate the existing 1920s building, to construct permanent supportive housing while continuing the vital wrap-around services offered to all participants. WISEPlace services many women most vulnerable to COVID-19. With 42% of our women having a chronic health issue and 39% being older than 55, the women we serve are extremely vulnerable.
WISEplace is incredibly grateful to continue servicing women throughout this pandemic, and your support is as important as ever. The women still face a continued need for sanitation supplies, food, and menstrual products (including Poise pads). You can support a woman in need with The Essentials or donate here."

Mass NOW co-wrote the I AM Bill, a revolutionary piece of legislation that would provide access to free menstrual products for all menstruating individuals in homeless shelters, prisons, and schools from 6th-12th grade. The bill also include language to ensure the products are truly accessible without stigmatizing the individual seeking them. Currently, the I AM Bill is on the Mass State floor. Mass NOW is a fierce supporter of menstrual equity and women's rights.
